In Essen we simply took the place as our host. It is a fascinating place where all kinds of colourful projects take place. Inga Palme and Claudia Seidensticker will moderate the YouCan Talk in Essen.

YouCan Talk Essen
Attention please: with a heavy heart have we decided to end the YouCan Talk location in Essen. We thank all participants for three wonderful evenings in the real perfect “Unperfekthaus”. But we noticed that a location in one’s own domicile is more successful. The “Unperfekthaus” has archived the YouCan Talk project after a brief conversation by telephone with a very friendly colleague. And if necessary, we can activate this location again at any time. If there’s someone who wants to take over this location, you are most welcome! A short call will suffice!
Below you find all information about the last events.

The Topics

NIA - neuro integrated muscular action
NIA ist the abbreviation for neuro integrated muscular action, which means fitness for nerves and muscles. This sport was developed in 1983 by Debbie and Carlos Rosas in the USA and is already taught in many cities in Germany. However NIA is not known that much in an area in North Rhine-Westphalia which is called the Ruhrgebiet.
But this should change in 2010 when Katja Kaygin will offer this sport also in this area. NIA is a mixture of western and eastern movement forms containing three elements: Dance, martial arts and healing arts. The most important principle is joy of movement, that means movement withouth any pressure to perform or pain. Nevertheless NIA traines the muscles, bones, sinews and ligaments to a great extent. It also traines your concentration. It is a sport for all ages.
Speaker: Katja Kaygin - Certified NIA White Belt Teacher

Changes in Society
Talking Point:
- New ways in communications practices
- New ways in consumer behaviour
Speaker: Frank Rehme

Art makes Culture - Education of Children and Youths
We have within us the extraordinary possibility and capability to make a positive effect on our world. All visions are there to be realised. Art is pacifist and serves the cause of peace. Examples and questions on the currently dominant perspective on education. Ending with a provocative question: Is education knowledge or is it how we relate to each other?
Speaker: Ines D. Bongard Deeters Dipl. Ing. Architect, Master of Arts, Stage/Event
