Unperfekthaus
In Essen we simply took the place as our host. It is a fascinating place where all kinds of colourful projects take place. Inga Palme and Claudia Seidensticker will moderate the YouCan Talk in Essen.

YouCan Talk Essen
Attention please: with a heavy heart have we decided to end the YouCan Talk location in Essen. We thank all participants for three wonderful evenings in the real perfect “Unperfekthaus”. But we noticed that a location in one’s own domicile is more successful. The “Unperfekthaus” has archived the YouCan Talk project after a brief conversation by telephone with a very friendly colleague. And if necessary, we can activate this location again at any time. If there’s someone who wants to take over this location, you are most welcome! A short call will suffice!
Below you find all information about the last events.

The Topics

Thinking (New Directions)
Who doesn’t want to change something in their lives, take in a new perspective?
How to change your thinking successfully is what Brigitte Nagel will show you with a real life example. To do this, she will use the technical facilities of the Improvisation Theatre.
Speaker: Brigitte Nagel – Consulting, Training, Coaching

Worte or Woerter?
It is possible to read between the lines even among words! We speak
the same language (German in this case!). We understand what the other
person is saying. We are never lost for words (Worte). Or is it
“Woerter”? To talk is natural and the choice of words happens
automatically – after all a mere 400 words (or is it “Woerter?”) are
sufficient for every day talking. The rest of the 400,000 or so words
form the so-called “word treasure” or vocabulary, a seemingly
unnecessary burden, because one can cook only with pepper and salt. Or
is it salt and pepper? Or … well yes.
The music and cabaret performer Markus Berger (see
www.der-miese-peter.de) takes language at its word and wants to open
eyes and ears, as much for delicate verbal musings as for crude gossip.
To do this, he will perform musical and cabaret acts taken from his
actual stage program. A highlight will be “Foreign for Beginners” – a
musical language course in 3 eye-blinking lectures – which can lead us
to consider a totally new look at our valuable “word treasure”. Boah ey!

Kita Fuggerstraße e.V. meets Tetris
In the Integrationskita Fuggerstraße e.V. in Berlin, a highly motivated team of experts looks after 20 children, with and without handicaps, including some that are HIV-positive. At the moment, Kita is converting an old cinema in the neighbourhood into a mobility centre for the children and thus creates more room for Kita/workplaces. Bigga Rodeck presents a unique project of sponsoring and marketing. Last year already, she was able to collect 720 Euros from this combination for the parents' association for children with epilepsy.
