From Crowd to Tribe
From Crowd to Tribe Content: The world has changed drastically in the last few decades. To have the right network is now more important than ever – but where to the networks come from? Seth Godin has given the child a name – Tribes. The idea is not new, but more important than ever: We need personalities that take leadership and bring people together that, together, can achieve many great things. In this presentation you will learn what a Tribe is and how you yourself can be an effective Tribe Leader.
Speaker: Michael Jastram is a freelance technology expert, scientist and PhD student in Informatics at the University of Düsseldorf. Since completing his Dilpl.-Ing (University of Hamburg) and an M.Sc. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1997, he has worked the last 10 years for various startup companies in the USA and in Germany. His actual “tribe” is the “rheinjug e.V. – the Düsseldorf Java User Group - which has been organizing technical presentations for the past 4 years and has reached over 1,500 experts in the Rhineland.
Big Sister e.V.
Sometimes it is difficult to grow up.
Sometimes you think your problems at school or at home, with friends or with yourself, are not solvable.
Then it would be great to have a Big Sister…
Sometimes it is wonderful to be grown up. And to be able to stand side by side with a young person and share experiences, remembrances and talents. Then it would be wonderful to be a Big Sister.
The association Big Sister with HQ in Düsseldorf helps girls to become adults through the support of volunteer older “sisters”. Brigitte Klose-Grigull started this association a few years ago and has since brought together successfully many “big sisters” with “small sisters” in families. An extract from a remarkable project that originated from a unique idea. Speaker: Brigitte Klose-Grigull – Big Sister e.V. p>
