At the „YOU“ Fair in Berlin in 2009 Max met for the first time the „Verein gegen Kinderarmut e.V.“ (Association against Child Poverty). He needed a stage for one of his own presentations. Not exactly a common daily task for a 14-year old. And with the collection of bottle deposits funds in favour of a water organization, Max is by now an enthusiastic volunteer helper in the Association against Child Poverty. An insight into the world of an extraordinary young man with the absolute will to really do something.

Creating Awareness
Just over a year ago Gabi Mohr took the initiatve to establish the Non-Government Organization (NGO) „Verien gegen Kinderarmut e.V.“ (Association against Child Poverty). The goal of the association is to create awareness for a subject that concerns the weakest members of our society, the children, and those that suffer the most by poverty. It is about responsibility and above all about “seeing”. The young association has since its inception initiated many things and has had some remarkable achievements.
